The Nasdaq Index ends the session down moderately at -0.51%
At the end of the last transactions, the flagship index of the US technology exchange is down -0.51% to 14579.54 points.
The trading session was not very active with a trading volume of 85.48 billion dollars. 458.96 million shares were traded. 28 stocks finished in the green and 70 were down.
The best performance of the day was attributed to Baidu with 3.54% to 162.09 dollars. In second place on the podium, JD.com closed the session at 78.61 dollars, up 3.03%, followed by PACCAR at 84.76 dollars (2.11%).
At the bottom of the pack is Charter Communications. The stock ends the trading day down -4.83% to 706.13 dollars. Comcast and Sirius XM are also lagging behind.
Several stocks (Charter Communications, Comcast, Fastenal, MercadoLibre, NetEase, Sirius XM et Xilinx) recorded large trading volumes, one-third higher than their daily average.
