The US stock exchange Nasdaq ends the session up moderately at 0.5%
At market close, the flagship index of the US technology exchange rises by 0.5% to 14897.34 points.
The trading session was not very active with a trading volume of 115.05 billion dollars. 545.31 million shares were traded. 57 stocks finished in the green and 43 were down.
The best performance of the day was attributed to Amazon with 3.31% to 3409.02 dollars. In second place on the podium, Marriott International closed the session at 160.04 dollars, up 3.11%, followed by Tesla at 843.03 dollars (3.02%).
At the bottom of the pack is Walgreens Boots Alliance. The share ends the trading day down -3.64% to 48.92 dollars. Moderna and Dexcom are also lagging behind.
Several stocks (Align Technology, Amazon, Amgen, Broadcom, Cognizant, CSX, Intuit, Mondelez International, Monster Beverage, Walgreens Boots Alliance et Xcel Energy) recorded large trading volumes, one-third higher than their daily average.
