The US stock exchange Nasdaq ends the session up moderately at 0.71%
At market close, the Nasdaq-100 rises by 0.71% to 15129.09 points.
The trading session was not very active with a trading volume of 99.04 billion dollars. 484.91 million shares were traded. 76 stocks finished in the green and 24 were down.
The best performance of the day was attributed to Baidu with 4.65% to 179 dollars. In second place on the podium, JD.com closed the session at 84.91 dollars, up 3.02%, followed by Vertex Pharmaceuticals at 185.41 dollars (2.55%).
At the bottom of the pack is Marriott International. The share ends the trading day down -2.63% to 155.02 dollars. Trip.com and Booking Holdings are also lagging behind.
Several stocks (Baidu, Biogen, Intuitive Surgical, Monster Beverage, Netflix et Vertex Pharmaceuticals) recorded large trading volumes, one-third higher than their daily average.
Cintas stands out with a 52-week high of 423.9 dollars and a market valuation climbing to 43.83 billion dollars.
