The Nasdaq Index ends the session up moderately at 1%
At market close, the Nasdaq-100 rises by 1% to 15860.96 points.
The trading session was not very active with a trading volume of 128.61 billion dollars. 567.45 million shares changed hands. 76 stocks finished in the green and 23 were down.
The best performance of the day was attributed to Facebook with 4.01% to 340.89 dollars. In second place on the podium, DocuSign closed the session at 264.66 dollars, up 3.97%, followed by Netflix at 682.61 dollars (3.81%).
At the bottom of the pack is Tesla. The stock ends the trading session down -2.83% to 1033.42 dollars. Peloton Interactive and Match Group are also lagging behind.
Several stocks (Activision Blizzard, Amgen, Dollar Tree, Match Group, Micron Technology, PayPal, Synopsys et Xilinx) recorded large trading volumes, one-third higher than their daily average.
