The US stock exchange Nasdaq ends the session down moderately at -0.5%
At market close, the flagship index of the US technology exchange is down -0.5% to 15775.14 points.
The trading session was not very active with a trading volume of 175.32 billion dollars. 779.34 million shares were traded. 51 stocks finished in the green and 49 were down.
The best performance of the day was attributed to Dollar Tree with 9.17% to 144.71 dollars. In second place on the podium, Ross Stores closed the session at 115.43 dollars, up 3.83%, followed by Vertex Pharmaceuticals at 186.85 dollars (2.95%).
At the bottom of the pack is Zoom. The stock ends the trading day down -14.71% to 206.64 dollars. Okta and Dexcom are also lagging behind.
Several stocks (Analog Devices, ASML Holding, Atlassian, Autodesk, Cadence Design Systems, Check Point Software, Cisco Systems, Crowdstrike Holdings, Dexcom, Dollar Tree, eBay, Electronic Arts, Honeywell, Illumina, Intuit, Intuitive Surgical, JD.com, Kraft Heinz, MercadoLibre, Microchip Technology, Micron Technology, NVIDIA, Okta, Paychex, Ross Stores, Seagen, VeriSign, Workday et Zoom) recorded large trading volumes, one-third higher than their daily average.
