The US stock exchange Nasdaq ends the session lower at -1.23%
At market close, the flagship index of the US technology exchange is down -1.23% to 13548.07 points.
The trading session was not very active with a trading volume of 152.66 billion dollars. 902.35 million shares changed hands. 21 stocks finished in the green and 77 were down.
The best performance of the day was attributed to Dollar Tree with 5.22% to 142.84 dollars. In second place on the podium, Cisco Systems closed the session at 57.21 dollars, up 2.58%, followed by Ross Stores at 93.47 dollars (1.87%).
At the bottom of the pack is MercadoLibre. The stock ends the trading session down -8.21% to 937.26 dollars. Pinduoduo and Intel are also lagging behind.
Several stocks (Adobe, ANSYS, Autodesk, Cadence Design Systems, Cerner, Charter Communications, Cisco Systems, Copart, Dollar Tree, Fox, Honeywell, Intel, Kraft Heinz, MercadoLibre, Monster Beverage, NVIDIA, Okta et Zoom) recorded large trading volumes, one-third higher than their daily average.
