The Nasdaq Index ends the session very strongly down at -3.95%

At market close, the flagship index of the US technology exchange is down -3.95% to 12490.74 points.

The trading session was moderately active with a trading volume of 155.78 billion dollars. 832.34 million shares were traded. 2 stocks finished in the green and 97 were down.

The best performance of the day was attributed to Cadence Design Systems with 0.29% to 151.54 dollars. In second place on the podium, O’Reilly Automotive closed the session at 714.25 dollars, up 0.12%, followed by Xilinx at 4070 dollars (0%).

At the bottom of the pack is Tesla. The share ends the trading session down -12.18% to 876.42 dollars. Peloton Interactive and ASML Holding are also lagging behind.

Several stocks (Activision Blizzard, Align Technology, Alphabet, ANSYS, ASML Holding, Broadcom, Cadence Design Systems, Comcast, IDEXX Laboratories, Keurig Dr Pepper, Microsoft, Monster Beverage, Netflix, PACCAR, PepsiCo, Sirius XM, Tesla, Texas Instruments, Verisk Analytics et Workday) recorded large trading volumes, one-third higher than their daily average.

Starbucks’s stock market valuation fell to 87 billion dollars. Closing at 75.63 dollars (-3.01%), the share price is at its lowest level for the year.
