The Nasdaq Index ends the session very strongly down at -5.16%

At market close, the flagship index of the US technology exchange is down -5.16% to 11633.57 points.

The trading session was not very active with a trading volume of 133.78 billion dollars. 1,083.26 million shares changed hands. All stocks ended lower.

The best performance of the day was attributed to NetEase with -0.08% to 87.39 dollars. In second place on the podium, Regeneron Pharmaceuticals closed the session at 701.39 dollars, down -1.32%, followed by Starbucks at 87.84 dollars (-1.38%).

At the bottom of the pack is NVIDIA. The share ends the trading day down -9.47% to 131.31 dollars. Meta Platforms and Advanced Micro Devices are also lagging behind.

Several stocks (Adobe, Alphabet, Amazon, Amgen, Apple, ASML Holding, Autodesk, Automatic Data Processing, Biogen, Broadcom, Cintas, Cognizant Technology Solutions, Comcast, Copart, Costco Wholesale, Electronic Arts, Fastenal, Fiserv, Gilead Sciences, Honeywell International, IDEXX Laboratories, Intel, Intuitive Surgical, KLA, Kraft Heinz, Marriott International, Marvell Technology, Meta Platforms, Microchip Technology, Micron Technology, Microsoft, Mondelez International, NXP Semiconductors, O’Reilly Automotive, Old Dominion Freight Line, Paychex, PepsiCo, QUALCOMM, Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Sirius XM Holdings, Skyworks Solutions, Starbucks, T-Mobile US, Texas Instruments, VeriSign et Xcel Energy) recorded large trading volumes, one-third higher than their daily average.
